Please find below a summary of the key announcements made during the presentations and a glimpse of the celebrations that took place on this very special day for MIT.
To celebrate a 30th anniversary in this given global economic climate is quite an achievement for any company. In his welcome speech, René Cohen Dumani, MIT’s chairman of the board reflected one some key moments in MIT’s history from the context of its creation back in 1984 to what has been achieved today.
“BY YEAR 2000, WE HAD SOME OF THE VERY BIG NAMES USING OUR CREDOC SOFTWARE”
RENE COHEN DUMANI

Vincent Grandjean, Chief Counsellor representing the State Council of Canton de Vaud
Jean-luc Spinardi, Head of Sales & Marketing and Master of Ceremonies for this event, introduced Mr Vincent Greandjean Chief counsellor representing the State Council of Canton de Vaud. On behalf of the state council, Mr Grandjean gave an official address to the audience congratulating MIT for its 30th anniversary and stressing how important it is for the state council to count on local companies that constructed a solid background and reputation in its field. Mr Grandjean also pointed out the importance of Trading and Trade Finance in the region in terms of revenue and employment, reminding us that Geneva and the “Arc lémanique” region constitute one of the most important Commodities Trading platform in the world.
“OUR REGION IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT COMMODITIES TRADING PLATFORM IN THE WORLD”
VINCENT GRANDJEAN
MIT wanted to reflect in this presentation the positive events and successes that it has achieved over the past five years.
Paul Cohen Dumani, MIT’s General Manager, showed positive financial figures in insisting that the company’s turnover has significantly increased over the past 5 years, and that the company has been declaring profit every year. Staff has increased with the employment of 4 new people in the past 18 months.
“OUR COMPANY HAS INCREASED SIGNIFICANTLY ITS TURNOVER OVER THE PAST 5 YEARS, AND HAS BEEN PROFITABLE EVERY YEAR”
PAUL COHEN DUMANi
To mark this achievement, MIT has decided to conduct a complete revision of its corporate identity and visual guideline. The goal here was to introduce a corporate identity that corresponds more to the worldwide recognition the company has achieved over the recent years, but to have a visual guideline that marked also the strong position MIT has in the market today. This is because it is currently the only provider in the Trade Finance system world that can provide a back-office system along with a middle/front Collateral Management system.
“WE NEED A CORPORATE IDENTITY THAT REFLECTS MORE OUR WORLDWIDE RECOGNITION AND OUR POSITIONING IN THE MARKET”
PAUL COHEN DUMANI
So we said goodbye to the old logo...
And welcome to the new logo...

UNVEILING
The second part of the presentation was focused on MIT’s roadmap for the next 5 years and the intent is clearly to move to a single J2E unified platform for all products. TRAC being the first MIT java development in this regard. The recent developments for each major product were presented but the goal of this session was to unveil the architecture for what will be the new CREDOC proposed to our Customers for the future. The project is officially named CREDOC 5G.
INTRODUCING CREDOC 5G
The new architectural framework “Service Oriented” introduced by Dominique Guerra, MIT’s head of operations
“WE WANT OUR NEW ARCHITECTURE TO BE SERVICE ORIENTED, AND ALSO INDEPENDENT IN TERMS OF DATABASES, OPERATING SYSTEMS, AND APPLICATION SERVERS”
DOMINIQUE GUERRA
One of the key points for MIT is to have one framework that can adapt to the needs of various organizations whether they are small, medium, or large. Jean-luc Spinardi, head of Sales & Marketing insists that with the new framework, we will now be able to be much more competitive for the large organizations, but at the same time we will still be able to address the needs of smaller organizations. Indeed, with MIT’s new architecture, different deployment scenarios can be proposed.
The actual users will have the opportunity to choose the way they intend to do the migration to this new platform, either using Credoc “out of the box” with the integrated standard workflow (Model bank based on the experience acquired during the 30 years of existence of MIT) or building it’s own Credoc using the integrated workflow, rules engines and layout editor’s (Custom) or even use the Credoc Services as a toolkit.
The Credoc Connectors facilitating the integration of the application in any type of bank’s application system, allowing, for instance, the possibility to integrate Credoc in the bank’s BPMN, to provide third party application with services, …
“WE WANT TO HAVE ONE FRAMEWORK THAT ENABLES US TO COMPETE FOR THE LARGER DEALS, BUT AT THE SAME TIME WE WANT OUR ARCHITECURE TO REMAIN EASILY DEPLOYABLE FOR SMALL ORGANIZATIONS”
JEAN-LUC SPINARDI
